11 Days wildlife, Adventure & and Gorilla trekking

Day 1: Arrival Entebbe Airport – Kampala

On your arrival, you will meet your guide who will transfer you to Kampala at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, you will take a scenic drive through famous Luwero triangle to Murchison Falls National Park with lunch en route or you branch off to Ziwa rhino sanctuary that gives an opportunity of viewing the rhinos at a closer range. Reach Murchison falls national park with a visit to the top of the falls for a remarkable sight and sound of the Nile crushing through a narrow gorge.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park

After a cup of tea, set off for an early morning game drive to the northern part of the park where you will spot a number of elephants, buffaloes, hunting dogs, giraffes, bushbucks, hyenas, Uganda kobs, among others. Return at your lodge for late breakfast, relax at the swimming pool as you wait for your lunch which will be followed by a tremendous boat cruise along the calm Victoria Nile and at the base of the falls for sightings of the hippos, crocodiles and over 20 unique bird species such as the goliath herons, Egyptian geese, pelican bee-eaters, kingfishers, Hornbills, cormorants and the rare shoebill stork

 Day 4: Murchison Falls – Kibale

Enjoy your breakfast this morning and after wards set off for a quick drive to Kibale forest national park via the Albertan Escarpment of the western Rift valley to fort portal through beautiful country side homesteads, farms and shadows of Rwenzori mountains. Dinner and overnight stay at Ndali lodge/ chimp’s nest/ mountains of the moon.

 Day 5: Kibale Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Walk

Wake up for a heavy breakfast and head to the park headquarters for briefing about chimp tracking. This will be followed by searching these great apes which will also enable you view other primates like the colobus monkeys, Mangabeys, baboons, Bush babies and many more as your guide provides more information about them. After lunch, you will have a nature walk to Bigodi wetland sanctuary for a number of birds and unique flora and fauna.

 Day 7: Queen Elizabeth NP

After your breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park with a wide game view en route for 2- 3 hours like elephants, buffaloes, leopard, hyena, and leopard. Reach early enough for lunch and then go for a an awesome launch drive along kazinga cannel offering a variety of Hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and water birds at a close range.

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth NP – Bwindi

After a heavy breakfast, you will embark on a quick journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park with a stopover at Ishasha for the famous climbing lions; however you may also get to see other animals you might have missed in the previous game drives. Then continue with a scenic drive through Kabale town arriving late evening to the park for relaxation.

Day 9: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking

You will have breakfast and head to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for briefing before setting off for the remarkable experience in search for the famous mountain gorillas. This activity takes a period of 2-8 hours depending to the movement of the gorillas in the jungle however the thrill of encountering these humble apes erases the poor memories you went through while finding them. If time allows, you will have a community foot safari to the batwa (pigmy) people and explore their unique culture.

 Day 10: Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi

Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi with a wide game view en route for a number of activities which include, boat trip to different beautiful islands found on lake Bunyonyi, sun bathing, nature walk, bird watching and many more.

Day 11: Lake Bunyonyi / Kampala or Entebbe airport

After breakfast, you will take a walk around the lake shores for bird watching and its from these birds that this lake derives the name “Bunyonyi” locally meaning birds. After lunch, we shall unfortunately end our 11 days safari with a transfer to Kampala or Entebbe with a stop at the equator for coffee and souvenir shopping.
