Day 1: Leave for Mount Elgon

Leave Kampala for Mount Elgon with your driver guide after a briefing. Mount Elgon is situated in Eastern Uganda on the Ugandan and Kenyan border. The Mountain covers the biggest surface areas of all the extinct volcanoes in the whole world.

Mt Elgon is gifted with the most magnificent waterfalls, eye-catching caves, cliffs and gorges in the entire country. Have a stopover in Mbale for lunch. Upon arrival you will take a walk to and around the Sipi falls which are regarded as Uganda’s romantic falls. Return, have diner and overnight.

Day 2: Forest discovery at Kapkwai Trail

Be up so early in the morning, after breakfast; leave the lodge with packed lunch as you embark on touring the forest. Visit Kapkwai at the exploration centre and there you could decide to go through the Mountain Bamboo trail which is 7km long, so take a loop through as you will be able to visit the gorge and its southern edge and also the gentle river, it is truly a great experience. Return back later and have Dinner and Overnight. Accommodation at Rafiki lodge.

Day 3: Mountain Elgon – Kidepo Valley National Park

After an early breakfast, We shall drive to Kidepo valley national park via Kitgum town for lunch. We shall arrive in the evening for a short game drive en-route to the lodge.

Day 4: Game Drive In Kidepo Valley National Park

After an early breakfast at the lodge, we shall drive through the game trails for chances for see game like Hyenas, Lions, Cheetahs, Buffalos, Zebras, Elephants, Giraffes among other and lots of bird species. We shall go back to the lodge for Lunch and relax as we prepare for our evening game drive.

Day 5: Kidepo – Murchison Falls National

We shall have an early breakfast, then head to the game drive trails for an early morning game drive before setting off to Murchison falls national park. Arrive late in the evening at the lodge for dinner and overnight .

Day 6: Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast we shall go for a morning safari in Murchison falls national park where we expect to see a lot of wildlife such as lions, leopards, bufallos, elephants, antelopes, lots of birds and after noon boat trip on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the world’s most powerful waterfall is a must do. An optional hike to the top of the falls is also possible that will reward you with amazing views of the Uhuru and Murchison falls.

We shall afterwards have an en-route game drive to the lodge.

Day 7: Transfer To Kibale 

After breakfast we shall embark on our long drive to the primate capital of East Africa [Kibale Forest national park] via the Albert escarpment that will reward you with amazing views and a touch of the African village’s lookout. On a good day, if the weather is clear enough we expect to view the Blue Mountains in the DRC. En-route we shall have a stopover in Hoima central market for a walk around the market and buy some fruits for our en-route snacks. We shall also learn about the different organic Ugandan foods that will enlighten us on what the Ugandan delicacy looks like.

Check in at the lodge before heading to Bigodi wetland for nature walk and bird watching.

Day 8: Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, we shall set off for a three hours’ drive to Queen Elizabeth national park, We shall start by visiting the Katwe salt lake before heading to the Bush lodge for Lunch. After lunch, we shall do a walk to the twin crater lakes walking through gardens and small villages leaving you with a local African life experience.After we which we shall drive to the park for an evening game drive with chances to see lions, leopards, Warthogs, Buffalos, Hyenas among others.Return for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 9: Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today’s program is discovering Queen Elizabeth National Park – both from boat and by jeep. We expect to see lions, buffaloes, warthogs, hippos, crocodiles, elephants and many more at a close range. We shall return to the lodge for lunch and relax before heading for a nature walk in the Maramagambo forest which is is a place buzzing with primates, including chimpanzees, baboons, and several monkey species, the forest is also alive with many birds including the rare Forest Flycatcher, White-naped Pigeon and the striking Rwenzori Turaco.

You can also visit the ‘cormorant house’, a large tree that has been turned white by the birds that roost here at night. This is a perfect forest for bird watching.

Day 10: Transfer To Bwindi

After an early morning breakfast, we shall set off for a scenic drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park with lunch in Kabale and continue to the park. Arrive late evening for the batwe community experience, after which you will head back to the lunch for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Gorilla Trekking  And Lake Bunyonyi

The long awaited day is here when we shall encounter the Grorilla forest to meet and greet with the world’s most gentle primates in one of the dense tropical rainforests of the world that will reward you with once in a lifetime unending smiles and memories after setting eyes on the massive ‘Mountain Gorillas’. The trekking is never easy or hard, it’s always fun walking through the jungle and experiencing what life is like in the forest. The hike may be short or long depending on the Gorilla movements. We shall then drive to lake Bunyonyi after trekking. Arrive late for dinner at overnight at Supreme adventure park island.

Day 12: Activities At Lake Bunyonyi

The lake is home to 29 islands with amazing histories and a lot of birdlife, so if you’re a fan birds, you will probably have the best time bird watching. Activities include, Boat ride to the islands, bird watching, nature walks and ziplining.

Day 13: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Refresh yourself with a swim in the pool upon arrival and enjoy lunch on Rwakobo Rock with scenic views on the Ugandan grassland. You will do an evening bike ride through Lake Mburo national park when the sun starts setting. We’ll see zebras, Topis, baboons, long-horn cattle all from a very close range!

Day 14: Explore Lake Mburo

After an early morning breakfast, we shall have a morning game drive through the trails of lake Mburo national park with chances to see animals like Giraffe, waterbucks, topis, Zebras (lake Mburo has the highest population of Zebras in Uganda with over 3000 Zebras), Elands, Leopards among others.

Return at the lodge for lunch and relaxing as we prepare for an evening walk around the park to see some animals on foot at a very close range.

Day 15: Mburo And Transfer To Entebbe

We shall do an early morning nature walk around the park after an early breakfast with chances to see lots of different bird species and after which we shall transfer to the airport for your outbound flight home.
